Lucie Walker -- Painter
Lucie Walker is an artist who paints in acrylic and oil. A big fan of following the brush - a sort of, 'paint now, think later' approach, her bright, poignant paintings capture moments in time, often with a retro feel.
A long-time singer and songwriter in the Vancouver music scene, (Lonesome Sinners), Lucie set her sights on painting in 2005, when she began showing her art in a number of venues including the Jericho Arts Centre, the Naam, Libby's Kitchen, and Bean Around the World, to name a few. A past gallery partner at Arts Off Main, her work is sold internationally via her website, happyaccidentart.com.

Charlotte Wright and Marc Leblanc
Photographer: Nancy Caldwell
It is 1660. The Puritans have run away with their drab grey tails between their legs. Charles II has exploded onto the scene with a love of all things loud, French and sexy. And at Drury Lane, a young Nell Gwynn is selling oranges for sixpence. Little does she know who's watching...Nell Gwynn charts the rise of an unlikely heroine, from her roots in Coal Yard Alley to her success as Britain's most celebrated actress, and her hard-won place in the heart of the king. But at a time when women are second-class citizens, can her charm and spirit protect her from the dangers of the court?
Nell Gwynn stars Charlotte Wright as Nell, and Marc Leblanc as King Charles II. It features Sally Clark, Trudi Conradie, Breanne Doyle, Paul Ferancik, Brian Hinson, Sebastian Johansson, David C. Jones, Gordon Law, Kris Neufeld, Mattie Shisko, Kennedy Sloane, Emmett Lee Stang, Kaelee Steele, and Leeza Udovenko, with pianist Jocelyn Tam.
Nell Gwynn is directed by Adam Henderson, with assistant director Trudi Conradie. Choreography by Lina Fitzner, set design by Chris Bayne, lighting design & technical direction by Michael Methot, costume design, wigs & make-up by C.S. Fergusson-Vaux, set decoration by Linda Begg, properties by Frances Herzer, sound design by Zakk Harris, and stage management by Andy Sandberg. Nell Gwynn is produced by Fran Burnside.
